Our Program

Our structured program supports swimmers at every stage, from water confidence through to strong, independent swimming.

 Water confidence

Age guide:  6 months - 2.5 years

Developing comfort in the water, basic movement, and confidence through fun engaging activities.

Fundamental skills

Age Guide:  2.5 - 5 years

Building essential skills such as floating, kicking, breathing, safe independent movement and an introduction to freestyle and backstroke

Stroke development

Age Guide:  5 - 8 years

Refining freestyle and backstroke technique while improving coordination, endurance, and control.  Development of breaststroke and butterfly kick.

Pre-Squad

Age Guide:  8 +

Strengthening stroke efficiency, distance swimming, and readiness for squad or continued development.

Progression is based on skill and confidence  —  not age alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

At what age can children start lessons? Our babies/infant classes start from the age of six months. Our programs are designed to suit each swimmer’s stage of development.

How many children are in each class? All our classes have a maximum of four students, and we only run one class at a time. Class sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention and a calm learning environment.

What should my child bring to lessons? Swimmers should bring swimwear, a towel, and goggles if preferred. Squad prep swimmers will also require a pair of fins We recommend arriving a few minutes early to allow time to settle in.

How do swimmers progress through levels? Progression is based on skill development rather than time spent in a level. Swimmers move forward once they demonstrate confidence and ability in key skills.

What if my child misses a lesson? If your child is unable to attend a lesson please notify us, we offer one free lesson at the end of each term as a makeup lesson for all families.
